Hot Rolled Pickled and Oiled (HRPO) Steel Sheet

HRPO steel is chemically and mechanically the same as hot rolled carbon steel, but has received an acid bath and oiling treatment to remove rough scaling and impurities that are left behind during the manufacturing process. HRPO steel is preferred over HR carbon for its flatness, smoothness, and is  easier to work with.
